If I was your girlfriend,
There’d never be a dull moment.
A lot of our mornings would be spent waking up to rosy skies, welcoming the sun.
I would kiss you before you could get the chance.
On the rare occasion that our bodies had parted during slumber, I’d embrace your body and wrap as much of it as I could in my morning warmth.
I can cook. I’m sure you’ll use that to your advantage, and I’d gladly oblige.
Everyday ‘I love you’ would flow from my mouth.
Followed by kisses.
My fingertips would glide over your skin, and I’m positive you’d be able to feel my love.
I’d try to take your breath away with my words and actions. Hopefully I will always end in success.
On your sad days I will wrap you in blankets and make homemade hot chocolate and soul food.
I’ll go twenty minutes out of my way after work just to rent your favorite movie to cheer you up.
When you’re sick, I’ll take your temperature every hour and when you get that fever I will sit in a freezing bath with you so you don’t feel so cold.
I will bring you crackers and bubbly drinks and rub your feet and your aching shoulders.
Sick or not,
I would love you endlessly, if you were my girlfriend.
